Responsibilities

Performing routine fieldwork, working under close supervision from project managers. Field work may include soil, sediment, surface water and/or groundwater sampling, operation and maintenance of remedial systems, and drilling and remedial construction oversight including subcontractor management
Participating in site visits and coordinating and assisting field staff as required
Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision
Develop knowledge of job-specific federal, state, and local laws and regulations and assigned job specifications
Collecting and analyzing data under the supervision of an experienced scientist/engineer
Preparing progress reports for internal and external stakeholders
Attending meetings and reporting on project tasks

BA/BS in GeologyEnvironmental remediation experienceGIS proficiencyMicrosoft Office SuiteData visualization toolsOSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certificationField documentation experienceCommunication skillsTeamwork

Required

BA/BS in Geology or related field
Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is required for this role
Valid US Driver's License is required for this position. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review

Preferred

Experience and/or coursework related to environmental remediation
Proficiency in GIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) software
Experience with data visualization tools
Experience with field and/or construction documentation
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
