Responsibilities
Resolving agency payroll, benefits, and processing problems
Providing Quality Control for payroll actions
Anticipating problems and provides solutions to problem pay cases
Conduct training for Human Resources Staff on matters related to Processing actions
Providing advice and assistance to employees on individual payroll issues
Qualification
Required
Must pass a pre-employment security investigation and drug screening
May be required to successfully complete a trial/probationary period
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement
Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation eligibility determination
One year of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as: 1.) Research, interpret, and provide guidance on pay administration laws, rules, regulations and practices. 2.) Provide quality control for payroll actions and advise staff on corrections; 3.) Processing personnel actions in an automated system; and 4.) Assisting managers and human resources staff in making proper referrals to external resources for employees with sensitive or serious problems that are directly related to benefit payroll and compensation programs
