D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is currently looking for a Land Accountant. The right candidate will apply accounting principles to analyze financial information, prepare reports, and maintain budgets related to land/lot acquisitions.

Responsibilities

Review job costs for budget variances, cost code errors, dollar amount errors on invoices, etc., for land/lot acquisitions

Review Gross Profit Margins of subdivisions

Conduct monthly close procedures and ensure that deadlines are met

Oversee Due Diligence Reconciliation and review

Create land spreadsheet for payments

Run various reports and perform budget tracking

Prepare/update land acquisition proformas (LAPs), Forestar proformas, and the Financial Project System (FPS)

Run a weekly funding request

Assist vendors with any questions

Assist with reconciling transactions and budgets pertaining to homes sold for the end of month process

Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company

Ability to travel overnight
