Responsibilities
Leading across multiple teams in an org of around 15-25 people
Growing and building new squads as needed
Supporting and developing best in class engineering talent
Creating an inclusive team environment for people to do their best work
Structuring, organizing, supporting and challenging your team to deliver on their mission
Enjoying taking accountability for delivery across your squad(s), collaborating with the Technical Lead and Product Manager
Actively fostering a high bar for engineering excellence within your teams
Holding a high bar for technical outcomes and individual engineer performance and growth
Supporting, coaching and developing Engineering Managers through regular 1:1s and continuous feedback
Partnering with senior engineers to drive technical initiatives that raise the bar for engineering practices
Building strong stakeholder relationships with other teams
Collaborating with the wider engineering organization to contribute to company-wide best managerial and technical practices
Qualification
Required
Experience managing at least 2-3 Engineering Managers
Experience leading organizations of around ~20 engineers
Strong technical and delivery background
Experience as a software engineer in previous roles
Ability to take accountability for delivery across squads
Experience collaborating with Technical Leads and Product Managers
Ability to foster a high bar for engineering excellence within teams
Experience supporting, coaching, and developing engineering talent
Ability to partner with senior engineers to drive technical initiatives
Experience building strong stakeholder relationships
Ability to collaborate with the wider engineering organization
