Automotive Functional Safety Software Manager and Architect
Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced professional to lead functional safety management and architecture at the SoC BSP software level. This role involves managing safety compliance, deploying safety processes, and collaborating with various teams to ensure adherence to industry safety standards.

Responsibilities
Managing safety compliance for SoC BSP software
Deploying safety processes for developing ISO26262-compliant software
Leading safety-related execution and ensuring adherence to ASPICE and ISO26262 standards
Collaborating with customers, architects, and test/integration teams
Working closely with the Software Quality team to maintain compliance with industry safety standards
Lead functional safety management and architecture for SoC BSP software
Architect BSP software to meet ISO26262 compliance and safety goals
Define and implement safety plans, requirements, and architecture for automotive software
Drive safety analysis activities (FMEA, DFA, FTA)
Ensure compliance with ISO26262 Part 6 and ASPICE processes
Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and customers to achieve safety objectives
Oversee software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes
Utilize tools for static analysis, code coverage, and requirements management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 7+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience
4+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc
Preferred
10+ years of industry experience in embedded software, preferably in the automotive domain
At least 4 years of hands-on experience with ISO26262 (Part 6)
Strong understanding of functional safety software processes and standards
Proven experience in safety analysis (FMEA, DFA, FTA)
Expertise in managing safety activities for complex SoC software
Proficiency in C/C++ programming and RTOS concepts
Familiarity with BSP software/drivers and SoC hardware
Experience with SDLC, static/dynamic analysis tools, and code coverage
Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO26262 quality standards
Experience in defining software architecture and design for automotive SoCs
Knowledge of UML/SysML and software architecture tools
Functional safety certifications or training
Experience supporting OEMs/customers in functional and system safety concepts
Passion for software design and programming
Proven ability to manage multiple customer engagements for safety use cases
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across geographies
Demonstrated leadership in safety execution and stakeholder engagement
