Clinical Consultant
PMO Partners, LLC is focused on bridging the gap between healthcare and technology. They are seeking a Senior Manager, Clinical Consultant to serve as a strategic advisor and hands-on leader, leveraging clinical expertise to guide healthcare organizations through digital transformation initiatives while optimizing workflows and driving the adoption of technology solutions that improve patient care.
Responsibilities
Coordinate internal, client, and third-party/vendor resources for successful project execution
Develop agendas, supporting materials, presentations, and minutes with input from senior project team members
Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget
Develop and track project plans and performance metrics
Serve as the primary clinical advisor for technology-enabled initiatives, ensuring alignment with nursing and clinical practice, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Lead assessments of clinical workflows and design informatics-driven improvements
Champion adoption of EHR, clinical applications, and digital health tools in partnership with leadership
Provide nursing informatics expertise during planning, implementation, and optimization of health IT projects
Develop training, change management, and communication strategies for clinical staff
Create client deliverables and presentations that synthesize data into logical, compelling stories
Collaborate with IT, vendors, and operations teams to translate clinical requirements into technical solutions
Mentor consultants and project managers engaged in clinical IT work
Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and assisting with proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs)
Represent the organization as a thought leader in nursing informatics and digital health transformation
Qualification
Required
Registered Nurse (RN) required; advanced degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
5+ years progressive nursing leadership experience (e.g., Nurse Manager, Director, or equivalent); inpatient bedside nursing knowledge preferred
3+ years experience in Nursing Informatics, Clinical Informatics, or Health IT project leadership
Demonstrated success leading clinical transformation, EHR optimization, or digital health initiatives
Strong knowledge of clinical workflows, regulatory requirements, and healthcare operations
Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and change management skills to engage clinicians and leadership
Experience with project/program management, budgeting, RFPs, and vendor management
Ability to synthesize complex clinical and technical information for diverse audiences
Availability to travel up to 25%
Strong analytical, budgeting, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Preferred
advanced degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field
inpatient bedside nursing knowledge
