Supplier Engagement Specialist
HWL is a company focused on healthcare staffing, and they are seeking a Supplier Engagement Specialist to enhance vendor relationships and ensure alignment with client goals. The role involves monitoring supplier performance, analyzing trends, and collaborating with various stakeholders to improve supplier engagement strategies.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary liaison between HWL’s Supplier Engagement team and vendor partners
Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and SLAs (e.g., fill rates, decline trends, cancellations, early terminations)
Analyze vendor trends and provide leadership with insights and recommendations
Maintain accurate documentation including meeting logs, communication records, and agency contact updates
Communicate urgent market needs and program priorities to agencies
Prepare and present quarterly supplier activity audits, scorecard reviews, and trend analyses
Coordinate quarterly review schedules for top-tier suppliers (Top 25 NANC, Top 10 Physician/Provider)
Assist in planning and executing Supplier Summits, including communication, materials, and participation
Collaborate with Account Managers to identify areas for supplier improvement and workflow enhancements
Develop and distribute vendor surveys; analyze results and present findings to stakeholders
Generate targeted vendor lists based on region, specialization, and service lines
Promote a strong supplier experience and foster long-term advocacy for HWL programs
Track supplier wins, concerns, inquiries, and communicate updates across internal teams
Manage the supplier email inbox and ensure responses within 24 business hours
Attend supplier meetings to address performance, engagement, and compliance needs
Support special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned
Attend both virtual and in-person meetings, conferences, and events as required
Qualification
Required
Associate or bachelor's degree
Understanding of healthcare staffing workflows and supplier relations
Proficiency with Excel, dashboards, reporting tools, and CRM/VMS/AI platforms
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and present insights clearly
High attention to detail and strong organizational and time-management skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and service-oriented environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
Current industry knowledge and ability to coordinate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Meets all E-Verify requirements
