Engineer - ADN RAMP Team

Responsibilities
Provide process control and automation engineering expertise to the Global Facility Delivery team and the Site Process & Automation Engineering team, with a strong focus on safe, right first-time delivery and on-time facility start-up, through application of process control & automation engineering fundamentals
Partner with the site engineering team to provide consultation and technical problem solving related to process controls, Emerson DeltaV DCS systems, operational readiness, and C&Q support
Coach and develop local technical team capabilities to support acceleration of operational excellence and technical skills
Utilize root cause analysis techniques to investigate process and equipment issues and deliver robust and sustainable corrective and preventative actions
Monitor, assess, and document equipment performance to maintain ongoing qualification of assets
Maintain the basis of safety for process equipment
Qualification
Required
BS degree in Engineering or related science field with 8-10 years' experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
Deep technical interest and understanding of process control/automation systems including DeltaV DCS, automation architecture, and system integration with MES and other IT platforms
Preferred
Technical knowledge in additional automation platforms including Emerson DeltaV, Rockwell Automation, Siemens, or other related systems
Technical knowledge in process instrumentation
Technical knowledge in batch control
System integration knowledge with Emerson's Syncade MES platform
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Collaborative skills with operations, process engineering, and other process team members
Ability to coach others
Ability to influence without authority
Ability to clarify and simplify complex issues
Strong trust building with peers and leaders
Willing to work off-shift hours as needed to support project milestones and training of new employees
