The Senior Accounting Manager will be responsible for building out the accounting function, overseeing month-end and year-end processes, and ensuring compliance with financial controls.

Responsibilities

Support the setup of month end in Netsuite
Own the monthly the monthly close and continuously improve processes for growth
Ensure robust US GAAP financial controls are implemented including ASC 606 revenue recognition
Establish inventory control and stock reporting processes
Establish and oversee royalties accounting
Own the year end process working closely with auditors
Liaise with tax advisors to ensure tax compliance
Manage all day to day accounting activities (AP, AR, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll)
Support the Head of Finance with ad-hoc projects
Develop a team as the business grows

Required

Either a qualified CPA (ideally Big 4) or relevant industry experience
Ideally worked in either Creative Industries (TV & Film, Music, Media, Publishing) OR ecommerce
Excited to work in a scale-up business
Commercially astute and able to build relationships with senior stakeholders

Preferred

Degree in Accounting or MBA
CPA qualification is preferred
Experience in Book or Magazine Publishing
Some experience with either royalties accounting or inventory accounting
