LCS is an extraordinary company investing in the future of senior living. They are seeking a Fund Development enthusiast responsible for fundraising and development activities, establishing infrastructure to grow financial resources through various means such as grants and major gifts.

Responsibilities

Create an infrastructure for a successful fundraising program including the designation of responsibilities for staff, board and resident volunteers
Review and define appropriate support systems such as marketing, communications, fundraising software and administrative support
Develop and expand a fundraising database and constituent prospect list
In conjunction with Executive Director, board and staff members review potential collaborative relationships with community organizations and educational institutions
Develop and implement plans to pursue those organizations targeted in #4
Initiate an annual appeal, expanding the visibility of Friendship Village
Identify and facilitate the cultivation of potential major donors for capital campaigns
Develop and implement planned giving strategy to build future financial resources
Develop a cultivation and solicitation plan for area businesses and organizations to support programs at Friendship Village
Identify and cultivate local and regional foundations and submit funding proposals as appropriate
Work with counsel to initiate and manage capital campaigns as designated by the Board
Develop and implement a plan for events aimed at friend-raising and fundraising
Monitor all donor information to be able to provide statistical analysis to board and senior leadership
Develop and implement a stewardship program aimed at cultivating deeper ties with donors
Identify and facilitate the recruitment of additional Fund Development Committee members

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Five (5) to Ten (10) years of professional fundraising experience in a nonprofit organization
Tangible experience of having expanded and cultivated existing donor relationships over time, particularly with older adults
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; with the ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships
Flexible and adaptable style to meet the expectations of prospective donors
Team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside Friendship Village
Valid Driver's License
