Responsibilities

Plan and manage traffic engineering tasks as projects/assignments require

Interact and coordinate regularly with clients and sub-consultants in the various assignments

Lead project engineering tasks for traffic studies, traffic design, and traffic operations assignments

Work with multiple engineering disciplines on larger projects that require traffic engineering services

Assist leadership in working with/mentoring staff

Coordinate with other disciplines

Travel within Tennessee as required to serve the clients and projects - Periodic travel to clients in other states may also be required

Required

BS Civil Engineer with 6 years of related experience and traffic simulation softwares or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred

Professional Engineer License

8 years of traffic engineering and ITS experience or related field

Experience with TDOT, TN municipalities, or other state DOT's projects

Experience and proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation, and various traffic simulation software applications such as: Synchro, VISSIM, TransModeler, and HCS or similar applications
