Responsibilities

Drives, operates and is responsible for the safe operation of specialized equipment, including but not limited to backhoes, track hoes, bulldozer, dump trucks, frontend loaders, and flush vac equipment
Independently performs assigned work specific to the water distribution and sewer collection system
Provides on-the-job training to lower level personnel and may be called upon to direct the work of other employees and crew members
Investigates citizen complaints and takes or recommends appropriate action, provides routine factual information or specific details to routine inquiries
Assist field crews with installation, repair, maintenance of the water and wastewater infrastructure
Other duties as assigned

Required

Must have high school diploma/GED with experience in the operation of heavy equipment/vehicles and other equipment used within the division
Must have the ability to obtain a Class A CDL within ninety (90) days of employment
Must have valid driving record sufficient for coverage by City's auto liability carrier at the time of placement
Must be able to obtain a Class I Collections license and a Class D Water License within one year of employment
