The VP of Tax will develop and execute the company’s global tax strategy, overseeing compliance and risk management while partnering with various teams to align tax strategy with commercial objectives.

Responsibilities
Lead the development of a global tax strategy aligned with the company’s long-term goals
Oversee direct and indirect tax matters across multiple jurisdictions, including income tax, VAT/GST, and transfer pricing
Implement best-in-class tax planning to support international expansion, product growth, and corporate restructuring
Build robust internal controls and governance frameworks that meet SOX and regulatory standards
Manage global tax compliance, filings, audits, and relationships with external advisors
Drive tax planning for M&A, carve-outs, integrations, and other corporate finance activity
Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury, and Operations to provide strategic tax insights and support decision making
Leverage tax technology and automation to modernize global tax processes and improve accuracy
Prepare the business for a future exit by strengthening tax structure, documentation, and reporting capabilities
Qualification
Required
Experience leading global tax functions in a complex multinational organization
Deep technical expertise in international tax, transfer pricing, and global compliance
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP/IFRS and international regulatory frameworks
Proven track record in tax planning, risk management, and partnering with senior leadership
Ability to influence at executive level and communicate complex tax matters with clarity
Familiarity with modern ERP and tax technology systems such as SAP, Oracle, and automation tools
Preferred
Experience within technology, fintech, or transaction-heavy industries is strongly preferred
Prior experience in a Private Equity backed environment
Exposure to IPO-readiness or exit preparation
Demonstrated ability to build or rebuild tax departments during periods of rapid growth
Experience navigating tax strategy for hardware, software, and payments under one operating model
