Post-Doctoral Fellow in Lung Biology
The University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Lung Biology to join the Lung Epithelial Biology Laboratory. Open to US Citizens and Foreign Nationals
Join a collaborative research project directed at unraveling the mysteries of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and other parenchymal lung diseases
Focus the project in any of several related areas (epithelial biology, immunological networks, metabolomics, epithelial-mesenchymal crosstalk, and/or transcriptomics/proteomics) using 2 novel published models of lung injury and fibrosis
Access to a variety of cutting edge technologies including RNAseq, single cell and ATAC RNAseq, high resolution proteomics, CRISPR mediated screens, lineage tracing, organoid assays, and iPS cells to identify pathways critical for lung tissue repair and regeneration
Qualification
Required
PhD in Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related Biomedical Fields
Solid background in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics and cell biology
Hands-on experience with animal models, mammalian tissue culture, molecular biology techniques and tissue imaging procedures are required
Excellent record of publications in highly respected international scientific journals
Preferred
Familiarity with advanced imaging techniques, transcriptomic profiling, flow cytometry, and/or bioinformatics is desirable
