Property Accountant

Responsibilities
Coordinating rent collection from commercial tenants through various channels, including online payments, checks, and direct deposits
Posting payments to tenant accounts in property management software (AMSI)
Reviewing and approving accounts payable for the assigned portfolio
Administering loan payments in accordance with loan agreements and payment schedules
Processing client distributions while complying with internal policies
Preparing and accurately maintaining monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting records and financial reports for the assigned property portfolio
Lease administration to ensure accurate and timely billing of rent/NNN and compliance with lease terms
Ability to calculate CAM reconciliations independently
Responsible for management fee invoicing and special billings
Conduct regular audits/reconciliations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and lease documents
Budgeting and forecasting with the property management team to develop and maintain accurate property accounts
Collaborate with team members across accounting and operations
Providing analysis and insights to support decision-making efforts
Written and verbal communication with clients, tenants, and lenders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent work experience
Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
General ledger experience is required
Must possess knowledge of both cash and accrual accounting methods
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Must be self-motivated, highly detailed, and organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Conscientious about achieving deadlines and producing an accurate work product
Must be able to pass a background check
