Network Infrastructure Engineer Intern

American Foods Group is a family-owned business established in 1946, and they are seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer Intern. The intern will assist the team in designing, deploying, and maintaining networks while gaining exposure to various technologies and contributing to infrastructure security and performance management.

Responsibilities

Assist the team with designing, deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and securing networks
Assist with research emerging technologies to assess fit for business needs
Deploy technology per written designs in line with company and industry standards
Develop and review project testing and implementation plans and project timelines
Participate in capacity and performance management of existing infrastructure
Identify and analyze possible threats and vulnerabilities, embed security standards, and monitor adherence to them
Follow security architecture standards, framework, and guidelines
Emphasizes infrastructure security best practices and ensures adoption across corporate solutions
Contribute to the design and implementation of detailed disaster recovery plans to ensure all infrastructure elements (data and systems) have efficient backup solutions
Provide technical support and guidance to users
Lead in troubleshooting network and server performance issues
Participate in infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement planning as needed

Required

Must have completed your Junior year at a credited College or University
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Have the desire and ability to work well both independently and cross functionally
Are willing to engage others through strong communication and leadership skills
Are an inquisitive individual that has a desire to gain knowledge through experience
Ability to perform all duties required in both office and manufacturing environments wearing proper PPE
Have reliable transportation to and from working location
