They are seeking a Mainframe Systems Engineer to provide senior-level engineering expertise for legacy IRS mainframe environments and to support data inventory and security control enforcement.

Responsibilities

Analyze mainframe data flows and support data tagging, classification, and protection strategies for legacy systems

Integrate mainframe security with Cybersecurity Information Protection Enhancement, data loss prevention, data inventory and tagging, CASB/SASE architectures

Support modernization efforts, mapping legacy data, schemas, and lineage as part of enterprise data inventory

Design controls to prevent exfiltration, unauthorized replication, or misuse of mainframe data

Assist with modeling, documentation, testing, and incident response workflows

Required

Bachelor of science or engineering in computer science, and/or related fields

10+ years mainframe engineering

Experience integrating mainframe systems with cloud, data loss prevention, data inventory and tagging, and Zero Trust programs

A minimum of three (3) out of the past five (5) years of residency in the United States is mandatory

Candidates must possess either an active green card or citizenship
