Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices such as switches (Catalyst, Nexus), routers (ISR, ASR) and firewalls (Firepower)
Designs and recommends security policies and procedures
Monitors, evaluates, and maintains networks/systems according to DoD and industry security best practices
Reviews network/system configurations to ensure compliance with security requirements
Implement mitigations from ACAS scans
Investigates security violations and recommends solutions
Engineer solutions to problems that may arise on a new system
Provides reports to internal and external customers in response to queries and requests
Consults on tasks, provides leadership and guidance for others
Gives recommendations for product upgrades, patches, and general security measures
Implement and maintain Software Defined Networking (SDN) architectures

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant field. Additional experience may substitute for degree
2-7 years of relevant experience
Must have enterprise and/or datacenter protocol experience
Must have Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140 certification
Experience working with system/network vulnerability scanning tools required
Experience with configuring and maintaining Cisco ISE, ACI, and FMC devices
Experience implementing and maintaining DoD networks in a multi-vendor environment
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) required
Must have active DoD Secret clearance and be able to maintain the level of clearance required
U.S. Citizenship is required
Knowledge of office administration and procedures
Exceptional judgment capabilities and relationship management skills
Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills; ability to clearly communicate in discussions and written documents, and to deliver feedback clearly and tactfully
Interact with a diverse array of customers and staff in a professional and courteous manner
Work independently with accountability for accurate and complete results
Be extremely organized and exceptionally detail oriented
Work well both independently and in a team environment
Be energized by a fast-paced work environment
Must be able to communicate with others effectively

Preferred

Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
