We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer who will specialize in Modeling and Simulation (M&S) of complex technical solutions to join our team in sunny Grand Prairie, Texas. The role involves designing and documenting model and simulation requirements, developing and validating complex models, and supporting ground and flight test efforts.

Responsibilities

Design and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture
Develop, verify, and validate both complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations (6-DOF) and effects-based simulations
Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities
Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers

Required

Must have a college degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, physics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or similar field
Experience modeling complex RF and IR sensor systems
Active Secret Security Clearance
Willing to work onsite in a classified area or lab environment
Professionally demonstrated proficiency in C++ and Matlab
Professionally demonstrated the ability to develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom simulations
Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred

An active U.S. DOD Secret clearance with an investigation date in the last 5 years
Advanced proficiency in C++
Experience operating in Linux environments
Experience with Agile development
Experience deploying algorithms and models that satisfy real-time performance requirements
Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines and software version control such as Git
