Parsons Corporation is seeking Principal Aegis Systems Engineers to support future work on the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) system. The role involves contributing to system-level design, integration, analysis, and verification of Aegis BMD capabilities in support of the Missile Defense Agency and related Navy programs.

Responsibilities

Support system-level design, performance analysis, and end-to-end architecture development of Aegis BMD components

Conduct requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability from system-level specifications to subsystem and software components

Perform risk assessments, interface control, and technical reviews across the engineering lifecycle

Coordinate with MDA/AB, MDA/DE, and Navy stakeholders to ensure alignment across BMDS elements

Support Aegis Weapon System software development, integration, and configuration management

Participate in analysis and review of software requirements, design, test procedures, and implementation in a missile defense context

Analyze missile software behavior during test events and contribute to software readiness assessments

Collaborate with developers and verification teams on functionality, interface consistency, and system behavior

Required

Master's degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics)

Minimum 12 years of experience in systems engineering or software engineering, with a focus on missile defense, naval combat systems, or related defense programs

Active Secret security clearance required; TS/SCI preferred

U.S. Citizenship is required

Experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) programs or U.S. Navy Aegis Weapon System development

Proficient in systems engineering disciplines: requirements development, interface management, V&V, modeling/simulation, or MBSE

Working knowledge of tools such as DOORS, MagicDraw/Cameo, Rhapsody, or equivalent SE tools

Familiarity with Agile/DevSecOps software practices is a plus
