Responsibilities

Provide legal guidance to global, cross-functional privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence teams within TI
Advise on external terms and conditions as well as internal policies and procedures
Track, analyze, and proactively communicate new laws and regulations globally
Provide legal advice on related legal and regulatory changes, including coordinating with stakeholders to assess impact to TI
Support investigations and responses relating to data breaches and security events
Review agreements for related compliance
Prepare a variety of written communications such as legal updates
Maintain strong communications channels between relevant internal teams
Some domestic and occasional international travel required

Qualification

Required

Law degree from an accredited law school (JD or LLM)
Licensed to practice law
At least 5 years practicing law, with relevant experience in privacy, data protection, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence

Preferred

Strong understanding of existing and emerging laws and regulations relating to privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence
Ability to give practical, strategic, business-oriented advice and recommendations
Ability to establish strong relationships and to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders
Strong time management skills that enable executing with urgency on critical projects
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive for results
