Responsibilities
Write responses to requests for proposals to be submitted to districts for search services
Collaborate and coordinate with TASB Field Service staff to assist in conducting searches and maintain materials needed for search activities
Review materials submitted by applicants and collect additional information
Work with boards or districts to promote and conduct searches for either a new superintendent/chief executive officer or key administrative positions
Provide assistance to applicants to prepare them for interviewing
Attend and make presentations at local, regional, statewide, and out-of-state conferences
Qualification
Required
Master's degree
Texas school district central office administrative experience
Experience working with school boards
Human resource office experience or documented experience recruiting employees
Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of boards and superintendents
Ability to work effectively with office software applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Practical knowledge of the Texas Open Meeting Act
Possess a working knowledge of school budgeting procedures
Effective writing and speaking skills
Ability to travel and stay overnight to make presentations to school boards throughout Texas
Preferred
Experience as a Texas school superintendent preferred
