Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain installation packages for Windows and Linux platforms
Utilize Windows Installer and other installation technologies to deliver robust, scalable solutions
Create, update, and maintain installation scripts using C#, PowerShell, Bash, and C++
Leverage InstallShield for advanced installation packaging and deployment tasks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define installation requirements and strategies
Work with container technologies to support modern deployment environments
Ensure installation processes integrate with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce) and CI/CD pipelines
Support database connectivity within installations for SQL and NoSQL systems
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve installation-related issues
Follow agile development practices to deliver high-quality, timely solutions
Qualification
Required
3-5 years experience as an Installation Developer
In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
Hands-on experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
Extensive expertise with Windows Installer technology and InstallShield
Strong proficiency in C#, PowerShell, Bash (SH), and C++
Solid understanding of software deployment procedures and best practices
Experience working with agile development methodologies
Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
Experience with version control systems, such as Git and Perforce
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
