They are seeking an experienced Interior Engineering Manager – Cockpit and Console to lead a team in developing and delivering innovative cockpit and console designs, ensuring compliance with performance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead a team of Cockpit, Instrument Panel, and Console engineers to be highly efficient and effective

Lead the Direction, Definition, Development, and Delivery from concepts to launch

Develop and implement functional objectives and standards to meet project performance targets including all government regulations and due care safety expectations

Manage all aspects of interior component and system developments to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc

Ensure Passenger Airbag systems meet all functional requirements through robust validation

Ensure a strong relationship with our operations partners as One Team

Lead internal/external collaborators to meet all project requirements

Lead root cause analysis during launch with collaboration from cross functional teams

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering

15+ years of vehicle Cockpit and Console specific experience with progressively increased roles and responsibilities at both the OEM and Tier 1 Supplier

Strong knowledge of Cockpit Assembly, Cross Car Beams, PAB systems, Consoles

Launch experience and root cause leadership required

Undeniable passion for automotive interiors

Proven communication and team building skills

Ability and desire work in a fun and fast paced environment
