VSC Fire & Security is a premier provider of fire protection and life-safety solutions across the Southeast. They are seeking an Integrated Systems Technician Trainee to assist in the installation, service, and inspection of integrated systems under the guidance of a licensed technician.

Responsibilities

Accurately interpret instructions and directives as assigned by supervisor

Effectively communicate relevant project or service information to supervisor

Complete work in a timely manner as outlined by supervisor

Effectively communicate with others – including by not limited to co-workers, supervisors, and job site

Occasional use of computers, phones, email, copier and/or other office technology

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Exercise a modest level of independent judgment in to perform assigned duties

Understand and operate industry specific tools to make sure a system is installed and serviced properly

Assist with the installation, service, and inspection of integrated systems under the guidance of a supervisor. This may include, but not limited to; fire alarm, fire suppression, access control, video surveillance, intercom, sound/security systems, and other life safety and integrated systems

Required

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Reliable transportation, valid State Driver's License with acceptable driving record for use of company vehicle

Preferred

Experience in the construction or electrical industry

Competence in reading and interpreting electrical plans, drawings, schematics, and specifications
