KBRA is seeking a talented Summer Legal Intern to join their 10-week summer internship program. This internship will provide firsthand experience in the legal department, focusing on corporate, regulatory, compliance, and governance matters.

Responsibilities

Assisting with drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts and related documentation
Conducting legal research and preparing concise memoranda on regulatory, corporate, privacy, and governance topics, and monitoring related developments
Supporting the development and maintenance of internal policies, procedures, and governance materials
Assisting with special projects and legal operations initiatives, including knowledge-management and process-improvement efforts, and participating in meetings with in-house counsel and business stakeholders as needed
Assisting with a broad range of legal and regulatory matters in collaboration with teams across the organization

Required

Enrolled in a Juris Doctor program at an accredited law school
Strong academic record and interest in corporate, financial services, or regulatory law
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to take initiative and work independently, as well as collaborate effectively with others
