Sr. Director, Front End Revenue Cycle

The Sr. Director, Front End Revenue Cycle will lead regional acute care revenue cycle functions, manage performance goals, and develop innovative approaches to revenue cycle operations.

Responsibilities
Lead regional acute care revenue cycle functions and drive operational performance in partnership with R1 RCM, Inc
Manage revenue cycle performance goals and metrics for the region, and provide performance updates and action plan status to ministry and regional CFOs and Finance VPs
Manage Service Level Agreements and vendor business partner relationships; develop and foster relationships with managed care companies to ensure successful outcomes
Assess impact of revenue cycle operations and develop innovative approaches to new market competition and other issues as they arise
Evaluate revenue cycle operations for quality, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and regulatory compliance; ensure that duplications and redundancies are eliminated
Provide oversight, education, and training for front end revenue cycle functions outside the R1 service area, ensuring consistent registration, authorization, and financial counseling practices across locations
Complete current state assessments and gap analyses, develop remediation plans, support denial mitigation for non R1 registration workflows, and partner with R1 on training and quality initiatives
Qualification
Required
High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management
Preferred
Bachelor's degree / Master's degree is preferred
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Experience in patient access or front end revenue cycle operations
Quality assurance and audit experience is a plus
Experience supporting larger or multi site environments is preferred
