10+ years expi3 Consulting is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Data Engineer to provide technical leadership for a federal law enforcement customer. The role involves designing data pipelines, developing analytics solutions, and optimizing database systems to support cyber investigative capabilities.

Responsibilities
Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to support the cyber investigative capabilities
Develop and maintain data analytics solutions for desktop and web-based visual analytic applications
Establish applications that produce manageable, actionable intelligence from streams of structured, semi-structured, and data
Design strategies for enterprise database systems and set standards for operations, programming, and security
Construct and optimize large relational databases across multi-enclave environments (Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret)
Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structures and refine system performance and functionality
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members
Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
Qualification
Required
Expert-level proficiency with Python for data processing and ETL workflows
Expert-level proficiency with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL)
Expert-level proficiency with Elasticsearch
Expert-level proficiency with data pipeline technologies (Apache Kafka, Apache Nifi, Cribl)
Expert-level proficiency with Splunk for data analysis and visualization
Expert-level proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Expert-level proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Expert-level proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
Expert-level proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or related field
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Experience with SAFe Agile framework
Strong understanding of forensic and investigative data requirements
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing data solutions in secure government environments
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass background checks and polygraph examination
Preferred
Experience with Angular, React, or other modern frontend frameworks
DevSecOps practices and tools
