Responsibilities

Primary duties include training deploying personnel, writing lesson plans, and training material, maintaining the training facility and associated lab equipment to include setup and tear down for each class, maintaining web-based scheduling and training materials, and teaching reoccurring training courses to government personnel and other contractors
Develop training lesson plans and accompanying educational materials in support of two formal training courses; one course to prepare personnel to provide enterprise networking, systems, and engineering support for networks and Expeditionary Communication Squadrons (ECSs)
Train approved government, contracted, and deploying personnel on current software and hardware technologies. Training includes Microsoft, Cisco, Linux OS, LogRythm, Fedelis, Carbon Black, Trellix, and Tenable systems. Training also requires familiarity with applicable/associated hardware for Sun, Cisco, ODS, and various processor-based servers’ equipment
Source a wide variety of LAN/WAN, cybersecurity, and emerging technology training courses from both Air Force and commercial training sites; schedule personnel for training courses; develop in-house training classes/seminars; schedule and conduct in-house networking technology training classes; conduct and facilitate On-the-Job Training; evaluate, analyze, and document critical work center tasks; develop work center training plan in accordance with applicable Air Force training standards, instructions, and regulations; track and document employees training progression; certify employees ability to perform tasks
Assess the applicability of commercial training to be integrated into the government training plan
Manage the government provided training room/facility, and associated lab
Identify necessary equipment and materials required to accomplish training objectives. Maintain an automated scheduling database for the training lab
Develop new curriculum to meet current and future training requirements
Provide oversight of other training managers including scheduling their work to support approved training requirements
Develop training plans, training aids, and training records for IT professionals
Establish training programs to meet local knowledge and skill requirements and to enhance professional awareness of the technologies utilized
Develop portable training materials to be delivered over multiple mediums, including traditional classroom, web-based, and portable/removable media-based training

Required

B.S. in related field and 5 or more years' relevant experience
or
7 or more years' relevant experience
Firewall and Unix/Linux experience
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the enterprise's cybersecurity safeguards to ensure they provide the intended level of protection
Ability to monitor and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance
Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with installation of Microsoft Windows Server in Host and Compute Environments, and Windows Server using server images
Experience with implementation of storage solutions, high availability, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), network connectivity and remote access solutions, core and distributed network solutions, advance network infrastructure, and maintain and monitor server environments
Must possess experience and demonstrate an understanding with managing Microsoft users and permissions, creating active directory domain services (AD DS) forests, designing server infrastructure, troubleshooting, protecting network, and user data
Secret clearance required
CCNP
VCTA
Trainer certification (Microsoft, Cisco, or military equivalent)
ITIL Foundation (candidate has up to 60 days to acquire ITIL Foundation certification)
