Java Spring Boot Lead | US
Oracle is enhancing its digital, e-commerce, loyalty, and customer engagement platforms. They are seeking a Senior Java Spring Boot Engineer/Lead to modernize and scale the customer communication ecosystem by delivering high-performance services that power email, SMS, and customer engagement experiences across millions of users.

Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices supporting the customer engagement, loyalty, and marketing platforms
Implement and integrate SMS and Email delivery systems to support order updates, loyalty notifications, marketing campaigns, and transactional messages
Develop secure and scalable REST APIs used across customer’s retail, e-commerce, and professional service systems
Collaborate with marketing, CRM, loyalty, and digital product teams to implement event-driven customer communication workflows
Build cloud-native solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and customer’s cloud architecture standards
Work with messaging frameworks (Kafka / Pub/Sub) to support real-time communication events
Participate in system design, architecture reviews, performance tuning, and production support
Ensure compliance with customer’s data governance, privacy, and security standards for customer communications
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on development experience with Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
Proven experience integrating SMS and Email platforms (e.g., Twilio, SendGrid, Braze, Adobe Campaign, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or equivalent)
Strong REST API development experience with high-performance, high-volume systems
Experience working in cloud environments, preferably GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, IAM)
Solid understanding of SQL/noSQL databases, caching, and distributed system design
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), Kubernetes, and DevOps tools
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and production support skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
Preferred
Experience in retail, e-commerce, or loyalty program technologies
Knowledge of marketing automation, campaign orchestration, and customer segmentation tools
Experience with event-driven architecture, real-time notifications, and large-scale messaging systems
Exposure to API governance and secure coding practices aligned with enterprise standards
