Civil Professional Engineer
Harris Civil Engineers is looking for an experienced and licensed Civil Professional Engineer to lead complex site development projects. The role involves managing project timelines, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations while driving high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities
Lead the civil design and engineering of large-scale, complex site development projects
Manage project production timelines, deliverables, and budgets in coordination with cross-functional teams
Mentor and supervise junior engineers and design staff, providing technical guidance and career support
Oversee technical documentation, including plan sets, reports, research, and recommendations
Perform quality reviews and implement process improvements to maintain technical excellence
Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to ensure compliance and project success
Support business development by nurturing client relationships and identifying new opportunities
Ensure all designs adhere to company standards and jurisdictional regulations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
At least 10 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in site development or infrastructure
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with tools such as WaterCAD, StormCAD, ICPR, GIS, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and critical thinking abilities
A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on practical solutions
Preferred
Experience managing design production processes and project schedules
Background in stormwater management, utility design, and related tools
Active involvement in professional engineering organizations
