Responsibilities

Provides leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change, developing and empowering staff, cultivating relationships, putting staff in a position to succeed and meet their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals

Builds effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals

Drives engagement and creates a climate where staff are motivated to do their best

Oversees training and quality product output of account management staff

Coordinates work to meet production and service expectations

Conducts performance evaluations, coaching conversations, team meetings and individual one on ones with staff

Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external customers

Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelors' degree and 3 years of leadership experience; or equivalent

Equivalent is defined as 7 years of relevant insurance experience

Knowledge of Underwriting Support processes and procedures

Experience with rating and policy issuance platforms

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work throughout the organization at different levels

Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings
