Responsibilities

Develop and lead Amazon Leo System, Hardware, and Software Design Quality Assurance activities, including design verification and validation methods, design qualification, design reviews, and configuration management capabilities

Lead design review and configuration discussions, determining design best practices for complex or high-risk software and electronic hardware elements

Lead the development and launch of multiple aspects of the Design Quality management processes across Amazon Leo

Dive deep into root cause corrective action activities for design issues that impact Amazon Leo satellites

Work directly with Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, and Supplier Quality teams to develop and qualify design verification methods for the Amazon Leo Production System

Be a subject matter expert in design quality assurance for aerospace applications within the Amazon Leo Production System

Perform daily design issue resolution as the design Quality subject matter expert

Investigate design issues to reduce defect rates and drive root cause corrective actions

Partner with cross-functional groups to develop and qualify design processes, including for both software and complex electronic hardware

Conduct rigorous Continuous Improvement activities to prevent recurrence of design non-conformances

Perform audit activities to ensure compliance to design QMS requirements

Develop and modify design flow diagrams, DFMEAs, design control plans, design verification plans, and other APQP artifacts to support continued high quality design

Work within an AS9100 (or similar) certified quality system with focus on design controls
