Responsibilities
Provide analysis, design and develop new and existing software and create flow charts
Technically lead and mentor other developers
Effectively communicate with business users, and perform process improvements, configuration changes, ad hoc and day to day activities
Serves as a contributor and member to project teams in the applications area
Supports other IT areas and business community in monitoring and enhancing the performance of business applications, including applications that are key components to the success of our business
Work with BAs and architects to design the solutions
Create flow charts for technical analysis so that the project team can understand the data flow
Participates in formal and informal design and code review and assist team members and works with the QA team to facilitate quality assurance efforts
Performs analysis and design for programs and learns and adapts to new applications, languages, and techniques
Focused on supporting the development, maintenance, and support activities in keeping applications systems stable and functional in addition to increasing functionality for the user community
Completes administration tasks, such as status reporting and documentation
Provide Proactive Solutions
Utilizes team work on quick solutions while still validating the long-term solution
Effectively communicates with business to identify system improvements
Supports business community in monitoring and enhancing their experience and performance of business applications
Participate in the 24/7 on call rotation

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
8 years of experience
RPG ILE/Free Form development experience
iSeries/AS400 experience (DBU, Hawkeye, RDi, SEU)
DB2/i database experience
Embedded SQL/SQL programming experience
Retail industry knowledge
Knowledge on at least two merchandising modules out of Master data management, purchase order, receiving, demand, replenishment, forecast, pricing, and costing
Strong analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team leadership skills
MQ experience
Experience working with offshore team
GoAnywhere FTP experience
RPG XML programming experience
Web Services programming
Mentoring skills
Preferred
A certificate of training or expert in one of the systems supported
Experience of any Retail/Merchandising product (eg. Blue Yonder/JDA MMS preferred)
