The Case Management Intern will support the CDI Reentry Unit by assisting justice impacted job seekers in overcoming barriers to employment and achieving their career goals through various support activities.

Responsibilities

Assist in conducting client assessments to identify skills, needs, and employment goals
Support the creation and monitoring of individualized career plans
Research and compile information on job openings, training programs, and supportive services
Maintain organized case files and update progress notes in the database
Participate in workshops, job fairs, and outreach activities
Provide follow-up communication to ensure clients remain engaged and on track

Required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Interest in workforce development, social services, or human resources
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism
Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
Be 18 years of age or older
Be actively enrolled in a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State
Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year's worth of academic credits over a longer period may qualify part-time students for participation in the program), or be a currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program
Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0, or the letter grade equivalent

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products (including Microsoft Teams)
