SDS Division Staff Industrial Engineer (9910-1)

Responsibilities
Support Production Operation Systems and Technology
Act as the technical SME for the division to support IE, MPS, and related functions within digital tools such as SAP, CPLM, and SmartMES
Create and distribute Master Schedule products (Firing Order, Cycle Projections, Baseline, scenarios analysis, and projections)
Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.)
Develop cost/risk benefit summaries and recommendations for leadership
Engage and collaborate with programs and functional organizations to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements
Work autonomously with minimal supervision to develop and manage achievable production schedules for an entire factory servicing multiple businesses
Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution
Qualification
Required
12 Years with Bachelors in Science; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD
Must have the ability to obtain U.S. Government DoD Interim Secret security clearance prior to start, and the ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance post-start
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience and understanding of MPS (Master Production Schedule) and scheduling principals within SAP
Previous planning experience and understanding of MRP logic
Experience working in a digital manufacturing environment using core systems PLM/ERP/MES is a must
Strong background with SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Grouping, Pegging, and Distribution (GPD), Production Orders, Purchase Orders (GPD), and Inventory Functionality
Experience in a manufacturing setting
Must be detail oriented, organized, and demonstrate a high sense of urgency
Experience in the performance of system integration testing
Experience writing functional specifications
Flexible work schedule to support out of service system testing
Experience leading cross-functional teams
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly motivated self-starter, detail and quality oriented, and able to work independently
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in industrial technology / industrial engineering or related technical field is preferred
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
6+ Years experience in SAP
Experienced in CPLM & SmartMES
Experience in industrial engineering
Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
SAP Certifications
Experience with MRP and MPS in SAP
