Responsibilities
Perform customer service duties with correspondence to customers and overseas partners, e-mails fax, etc
Provide customers with shipping information, inbound/outbound transaction and inventory status information
Conduct telephone sales to prospective customers
Update airline rates for sales department files. Set up and maintain customer files and profiles
Update inventory data, rate files, and create reports
Update statement data and issue Invoices for customers in a timely manner
Contact customers following sales and activities to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints
Contact customers who have not shipped regularly to determine shipping status
Assist operation staff with correspondence e-mails, faxes, etc
Perform other duties as requested
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED
Thorough knowledge of the freight forwarding industry for both International and Domestic
Basic knowledge of sales
Knowledge of inventory control
Proficient in PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to use basic math skills to calculate freight, storage, duty and other charges
Flexible and long hours sometimes required
Light/Medium work - Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, frequently and/or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
Preferred
Prior Customer Service experience preferred
International Shipping: 2 years (Preferred)
