Responsibilities

Lead design thinking workshops, discovery sessions, problem-framing activities, empathy research, and innovation sprints

Own and deliver end-to-end AppHaus engagements following SAP’s Human-Centered Approach to Innovation (HCAI), ensuring high-quality experiences for clients

Conduct interviews, contextual inquiry, and user observation to uncover pain points, opportunities, and user goals

Translate research findings into personas, journey maps, service blueprints, concept sketches, storyboards, and experience roadmaps

Partner with BTP Build, CAP, UX, and AI teams to turn design concepts into feasible SAP solutions and prototypes

Create low- to mid-fidelity prototypes using tools such as Figma, Build Apps, or rapid prototyping methods to validate ideas with users and stakeholders

Facilitate executive-level sessions, present narrative-driven insights, and align business and IT stakeholders around a shared vision

Ensure smooth transition from design outputs to technical build, supporting handoff documentation and development readiness

Contribute to playbooks, reusable assets, templates, and Mindset’s library of design-led innovation methods

Represent Mindset at SAP AppHaus events, conferences, webinars, and community forums

Ability to travel as needed up to 20–25%

Required

5–8+ years in UX design, design strategy, design thinking, or innovation roles; experience in enterprise or SAP environments strongly preferred

Hands-on experience leading structured design thinking workshops

Strong command of user-centered design methods and tools

Ability to plan, conduct, and synthesize user research (interviews, observation, usability testing, contextual inquiry)

Familiarity with SAP BTP capabilities, Fiori design guidelines, and experience turning UX concepts into SAP platform-ready solutions

Comfortable creating prototypes—from sketches to digital wireframes—to communicate and test ideas

Exceptional facilitation, storytelling, and executive communication skills

Proven experience working with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, product owners, and business stakeholders

Preferred

Experience working within an SAP AppHaus or similar innovation lab/studio

Familiarity with Figma, SAP Build Apps, or SAP Build Work Zone

Experience with generative AI–enhanced UX research or ideation workflows

SAP or design thinking certifications
