Social Content Creator
Book of the Month is seeking a bold and socially obsessed creative to ideate and produce social content. This role involves working at the intersection of creative, strategy, and marketing to drive growth through innovative content ideas and execution.

Responsibilities
Ideate high performing original content ideas that can be templatized or repeated, from short-form ongoing video series to engaging formats for monthly book announcements
Act as a curator of culture, staying ahead of new ideas, broader trends, and industry shifts, recommending strategic changes to acquisition efforts as needed
Bring fresh visual ideas and editing techniques that elevate the perception of the brand and achieve a polished, engaging, and consistent brand tone, look, and feel across all content
Contribute creative concepts that support paid social advertising, helping drive enrollments
Create content that impactfully connects us with consumers, measured by high attention metrics (likes, comments, views, etc)
Stay closely aligned with upcoming campaign strategies and book releases to identify and deliver impactful ways to translate core messaging across social channels
Dig through real-time insights and adapt content based on the learnings that are found
Turn your ideas into real creative output through individual creative efforts and by gathering and deploying additional talent as needed
Own content pre-production, production, and post production
Edit and finalize content for social platforms with a high-production, stylized approach—transforming materials into polished, on-brand content, optimizing for format, pacing, and platform best practices
Plan and manage logistics for content capturing needs
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated portfolio containing independently made and distributed social creative work
Highly creative and constantly ideating, brainstorming, and pitching original ideas
Exceptional taste and a good sense for what types of content or aesthetic would work for Book of the Month social channels
Ability to look at performance of an asset and propose ways to improve future performance through new creative ideas
Ability to generate compelling insights about the consumer and translate them into creative concepts
Enjoy working with other creatives to help unlock business goals and excited by constant ideation
Obsessed with social trends, memes, creator culture, and books
Ability to push boundaries and take creative risks with ideas
Interest in eCommerce, Direct to Consumer, and/or the book business
Conceptual thinker with a high attention to detail and accuracy
Focused, organized, and manage time efficiently
Self-starter who possesses grit in order to create content that elevates an already established brand
