Fab Tech - Machinist II

Responsibilities
Inspect equipment daily to ensure proper safety guards are in place and notify supervisor or team lead of any safety concerns
Perform basic set-up on equipment
Read and interpret various gauging equipment, ranging from digital calipers, micrometers, protractors, and custom gauges
Visually inspect work piece before and after machining for defects
Maintain all records on job assignments in a correct and timely manner, on paper as well as in the computer
Perform ongoing Q.C. checks on the operation in process
Ensure that all scrap and waste material is disposed of properly
Understanding of safety, quality, and production processes
Qualification
Required
Ability to lift 50 lbs. as required
Minimum 6 months experience operating equipment such as mills, punch presses, deburring wheels, benders, saws, specialty machines, turning centers, milling centers, and hand tools
Must be able to read a tape measure
Ability to stand on concrete floor for a minimum of 8 hours/day
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled facility for a minimum of 8 hours/day
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
