Part-Time Science Communication & Dissemination Analyst (Massachusetts Research & Education Collaborative)

Kindbridge Research Institute (KRI) is a non-profit organization focused on gambling-related mental health. They are seeking a Part-Time Science Communication & Dissemination Research Analyst to translate complex research findings into clear, actionable knowledge and support a statewide initiative aimed at reducing gambling-related harm across Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

Write and co-author peer-reviewed manuscripts, white papers, technical summaries, and academic conference materials
Translate scientific findings into accessible reports, policy briefs, fact sheets, infographics, and other community-facing materials
Coordinate dissemination activities—including conference submissions, communication schedules, newsletters, and distribution timelines
Support open-access publication processes, including manuscript submission, revisions, and communication with journals
Develop clear summaries of research findings for REC partners, KRI leadership, and community audiences
Maintain organized repositories of manuscripts, references, data summaries, and dissemination materials
Conduct literature reviews, rapid evidence scans, and background summaries to support REC program planning
Help create visual communication tools such as infographics, slide decks, and graphical abstracts to improve accessibility
Track dissemination milestones, deadlines, and deliverables to keep projects on schedule
Report to the Project Manager and communicate progress, challenges, and needs
Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive work environment grounded in professionalism, integrity, and scientific rigor

Required

Master's degree (completed or in progress) in Public Health, Health Communication, Social Sciences, Behavioral Health, or a related field
Excellent writing skills with experience producing academic manuscripts, policy-facing documents, or community-focused summaries
Understanding of or strong interest in health equity and supporting diverse communities across Massachusetts
Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple writing and dissemination workflows
Experience in behavioral health, addiction, public health surveillance, or related research fields
Ability to work independently with attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability
