The R&D Intern will support the Technology team in characterizing lubricating greases and assist in various R&D activities while working on-site in Lexington, KY.

Responsibilities
Characterization of greases for commerical activities support
Characterization of greases to support R&D activities
R&D related materials synthesis
Evaluating/Screening commerical raw materials and additives for various projects
Processing/recording data from commerical and R&D activties as required
Assisting in addressing customer related issues/field problems
Maintenance of testing equipment and materials
Getting familiar with our VLIMS system to collect and record data
Performing data analysis and communication with formulators and scientists
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in a Chemistry, Biology, or Engineering college program
Good team work mentality
Good communication skills
Good computer knowledge in Microsoft Office applications
The ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25lbs
Preferred
Previous experience in a scientific lab
