Responsibilities
Drive delivery on product goals through direct people management
Partner with cross-functional colleagues in design, content, international, and product/program management
Build and grow experts/leaders through feedback and attention to personal career development
Collaborate with external partners to deliver contractual features
Partner with architects and other engineering managers to make sure our product architecture, performance, and quality meet the needs of our users
Empower engineers and support them with tools and processes to efficiently deliver amazing user experiences
Qualification
Required
At least 4 years of experience managing teams of software engineers
Experience with Agile development and methodologies; web application architecture and development
Experience with design systems, shared component libraries, and working with designers
The ability to manage a diverse and distributed team of engineers from all backgrounds
Strong communication skills, both spoken and written
Will be expected to be a 'player-coach', where coding is also an important aspect of the role (although not majority). You've been a Senior Backend, or Backend-leaning Fullstack Engineer in the past
Ability to give and receive feedback in a constructive manner
Passion for helping others succeed

Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization
Preferred
Experience using Generative AI / LLMs to build products. Knowledge of common prompt engineering techniques, current state of generative models, and engineering techniques such as RAG
Experience building platforms which Product teams have leveraged and built upon, taking their needs into account when crafting your roadmap and vision for your surface area
