Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Associate will concentrate on the marketing of municipal new issue to both clients and internal stakeholders to broaden distribution and enhance connectivity with the universe of municipal investors.

Responsibilities

Provide the analytical, quantitative and operational support necessary to execute bespoke financing structures
Develop and maintain marketing materials for existing and new product offerings that appropriately reflect current marketing conditions
Work closely with Public Finance bankers and the salesforce force to identify both client needs and design structures to meet those needs
Develop and participate in presentations to municipal and not-for-profit borrowers, as well as domestic and international institutional investors
Work and collaborate with other syndicate desks at Morgan Stanley and externally

Required

Undergraduate degree
Developed understanding of the municipal market
Experience in municipal public finance, debt capital markets or another applicable structured finance/fixed income role
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent communication and presentation skills – written and verbal
Curious, inquisitive, collaborative, attention to detail, analytical, self-starting, team-oriented
Eager to use new technologies to enhance traditional municipal syndicate job functions
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and simultaneously manage multiple high priority projects

Preferred

Experience with programming languages such as Python or VBA are a plus
