Security Systems Project Manager

Responsibilities
Understand the technical and business intricacies of the integrated security systems we provide—cameras, access control, alarms, IT infrastructure, and software interfaces
Collaborate closely with team members, partners, clients, and internal systems to plan projects, schedule technicians, manage materials, and lead all activities tied to installation projects
Lead, support, and develop a team of two to three technical installers—ensuring they have what they need every day (equipment, guidance, resources, and clear direction) while owning team morale and performance
Visit job sites regularly to inspect progress, verify quality, and ensure all SecurAlarm standards and project specifications are being met
Use data and forecasting tools to improve project margins, identify trends, strengthen scheduling accuracy, and drive long-term efficiency
Build strong, meaningful relationships with clients and team members to ensure a smooth, transparent, and exceptional project experience from start to finish
Qualification
Required
Experience working with low-voltage or integrated security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms, networked systems, etc.)
Understanding of IT/network fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, cabling, connectivity, etc.)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and job documentation
Confidence visiting job sites, conducting walkthroughs, inspecting work, and ensuring safety standards
Ability to lead and support field technicians while managing timelines, budgets, and expectations
Strong communication skills—keeping all parties in the loop and eliminating surprises
Resourcefulness in solving problems for both clients and team members
Curiosity and initiative to learn new technology, software, tools, and best practices
Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail—particularly scheduling, forecasting, and documentation
A genuine passion for creating an outstanding experience for both clients and internal teams
Basic technical knowledge of networks, IT infrastructure, electrical theory, software interfaces, and the ability to understand blueprints
Authorization to work in the US
Must possess a valid driver's license, can drive company vehicle, and be insurable under fleet policy
Must be able to pass background screening and drug test (including marijuana) as our Security License with the State of Michigan requires thorough background checks and places certain restrictions on hiring
Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with team members and/or other clients
Manual dexterity is required for frequently reaching, climbing, and lifting of small to large objects, and operating construction equipment
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs
Preferred
Knowledge of construction life cycles
Fire and building codes such as NFPA 72 and Michigan building code
General knowledge of IT infrastructure
Project management skills and experience
Knowledge of integrated systems, access control, video, fire alarms and security systems and devices
