Epcon is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team working on an innovative power generation project for a state-of-the-art facility. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and optimization of a combined heat and power (CHP) cogeneration system, including natural gas infrastructure and energy storage solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and engineer power generation systems
Develop and implement combined heat and power (CHP) cogeneration solutions to maximize energy efficiency
Design electrical infrastructure for on-site power plant operations, including natural gas generation systems
Plan and integrate energy storage systems to ensure continuous power supply and load balancing
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineers, construction teams, and facility operations
Ensure all designs meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Proven design experience in electrical systems and power generation
High voltage electrical systems experience required
Knowledge of cogeneration (CHP) systems and natural gas power generation
Experience with energy storage technologies and integration
Strong understanding of critical infrastructure
Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations (NEC, NFPA, etc.)
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred

Preferred

Experience with power plant design and construction
Knowledge of microgrid systems and distributed energy resources
Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar electrical design software
Strong project management and communication skills
