Northwestern University is seeking Office Assistants for their CTD Academic Summer Camp. The role involves providing clerical and organizational support, as well as supervising students during various activities to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

Learn, uphold, and implement CTD policies and procedures, including the CTD Honor Code
Assist with lifting, moving, organizing, and setting up supplies and summer program offices as needed
Deliver and retrieve materials, such as books and supplies, to classrooms and residence halls
Inventory, organize, and manage program supplies on an ongoing basis
Assist with student check-in procedures, attendance tracking, and supervision during drop-off, pick-up, lunch, and afternoon activities
Perform data entry, make copies, collate materials, and prepare requested items for instructors and coordinators
Provide general assistance on Opening Days (Sundays) and Closing Days (Fridays) as directed
Communicate effectively with staff, instructors, and parents to complete tasks efficiently
Organize and complete pre- and post-program projects
Support catering pickup and setup as needed
Collect and deliver packages and mail daily
Assume program-related responsibilities as reasonably requested by CTD directors and administrators

Required

Applicants should demonstrate strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Applicants should be self-motivated, adaptable, and maintain a professional demeanor with a mature and positive attitude
Serve as positive role models for both students and staff, demonstrating initiative, strong work ethic, and a consistent commitment to teamwork
Office Assistants must be able to lift and carry 40+ pounds and traverse at least one mile with or without accommodation
High school juniors, seniors, and college students are encouraged to apply

Preferred

Previous experience in customer service, office or clerical work, or working with children and young adults is highly preferred
Experience in a fast-paced setting is also a plus
