Lab and Research Tech 1, Hematology & Oncology
The University of Virginia's Division of Hematology & Oncology is seeking a Lab and Research Tech 1. This role focuses on conducting research experiments involving human cells, particularly in the maintenance and analysis of genetically engineered cell lines.

Responsibilities
Conduct experiments – perform RT-qPCR, DNA sequencing and Western-style analyses, Cas9/CRISPR analyses of human somatic cells
Data entry of data generated from experiments
Assist in laboratory organization
Maintenance and propagation of human somatic cell lines
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent required
At least 1 year of lab experience, which may include student experience required
Preferred
Work experience should include either work in a molecular biology laboratory or college-level course work in biology or molecular biology
Basic competency with Macintosh computers
Ability to work as part of a research team in a responsible, dependable, collegial manner
Strong organizational skills
