Responsibilities

Design, plan, and conduct laboratory and field experiments to evaluate the safety and environmental impact of new products
Provide expertise in ecotoxicology, environmental fate, and chemical risk assessment to support product registrations across global markets
Complete regulatory registration projects for health and bioscience ingredients, including exposure assessments and safety reports
Respond to inquiries on regulatory issues related to environmental safety and toxicology for global compliance programs
Develop testing strategies and plans to meet international chemical safety requirements
Translate complex scientific data into clear recommendations for diverse audiences
Monitor external toxicology studies to ensure compliance with protocols and sound scientific practices
Represent IFF in meetings with regulatory authorities, trade associations, and scientific working groups
Collaborate with internal teams to support product stewardship and innovation

Required

Doctorate degree in toxicology, ecotoxicology, or a related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of chemical safety, environmental risk assessment, and toxicology testing methodologies
Familiarity with global chemical regulations and hazard classification systems
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (globally) required

Preferred

Experience with international regulatory frameworks and product registration processes
Knowledge of polymer chemistry and biodegradation testing
Active participation in scientific associations or working groups
