Corporate Counsel

Responsibilities

Primarily draft, review, edit and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including supply agreements, sales contracts, licensing agreements, sale and purchase agreements, consulting agreements, leases and other commercial agreements
Develop, implement, and refine contract templates as needed
Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations, providing legal interpretations, and assisting in the drafting of policies and procedures
Provide practical guidance to various business units regarding the legal risks associated with certain activities or initiatives
Assist in managing small scale litigation matters which may include preparation of responses and negotiation of settlements
Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Qualification

Juris Doctor degreeActive bar membershipTransactional attorney experienceContract negotiationVerbal skillsFlexibility in legal mattersWritten skills

Required

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Active bar membership
Minimum 5 years of legal experience as a transactional attorney
Excellent verbal and written skills
Flexibility and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters
Ability to travel

Preferred

Law firm experience is a plus
